What Each Stage Involves

See what we handle at each stage, which details we need from you, and where external approvals affect the schedule.

1. Site survey

We arrange a site visit to measure usable roof area, assess the roof structure and check shading from water tanks, parapets and trees. Bring your recent electricity bills and sanctioned-load details. These observations help us recommend a suitable system size and identify any roof or electrical work needed first.

2. Design & quote

The proposal sets out the panel layout, inverter and structure specification, electrical design and a site-specific generation estimate. Your written quote separates equipment, installation, applicable charges, exclusions and any eligible subsidy. Check its validity period, payment schedule and savings assumptions before accepting it.

3. Liaison & paperwork

This is the part people dread and the part we take off your plate. For homes we register the PM Surya Ghar application on the national portal and file the technical feasibility request with MPMKVVCL; for businesses we handle the load sanction, and where a plant needs it, CEIG approval and HT metering coordination. You sign where required and we chase the approvals.

4. Installation

We agree the installation schedule once the design, required approvals, equipment and site are ready. Work includes the mounting structure, panels, inverter, routed cables, earthing and specified protection. Any power shutdown needed for the electrical connection is planned with you. Weather and site conditions can change the schedule.

5. Net metering & commissioning

We help prepare the bidirectional-meter application and coordinate the DISCOM inspection. Your documents, signatures or presence may be required. Export credits begin according to the approved connection and applicable billing rules. Eligible residential subsidy claims require the scheme's commissioning and verification steps; approval and payment timing are outside Falak's control.

6. AMC & monitoring

After commissioning, monitor generation and follow the equipment manufacturer's maintenance guidance. Dust, shading and faults can reduce output. An optional AMC can include cleaning, electrical inspections and performance reporting; visit frequency, monitoring availability and response terms are specified in the selected plan.

How much does a residential solar system cost in Bhopal?

The price depends on system size, panels, inverter, mounting structure, roof condition and electrical work. After a free assessment, we provide a site-specific written quote showing equipment and installation costs, exclusions and any eligible subsidy separately. Solar equipment and installation are paid. Savings are estimates based on your bill and site, not a fixed promise.

How long does installation take?

We confirm a proposed installation schedule after the site assessment and design. System size, roof readiness, equipment availability, weather and required approvals affect timing. DISCOM inspection, net metering and subsidy processing have separate timelines that Falak cannot guarantee.

What is the payback period for solar in MP?

Payback varies with the final installed cost, eligible subsidy, tariff, daytime consumption, generation and maintenance costs. We show the assumptions in your proposal. Residential subsidy and business tax treatment are different; neither a fixed payback period nor a return is guaranteed.

Does solar work during Bhopal summers and monsoons?

Yes. Panels generate in daylight, including cloudy conditions, but output changes with sunlight, cloud cover, temperature, shading and cleanliness. Monsoon output can be lower. Assess a system using an annual, site-specific generation estimate rather than one sunny day's reading.

What happens to excess power my system generates?

For an approved grid-connected system, exported electricity is recorded by the bidirectional meter. Credits and settlement follow the applicable DISCOM rules and your connection category. Fixed charges and other applicable bill components can remain; solar does not guarantee a zero bill.

What maintenance does a solar system need?

Panels need safe cleaning when dirt affects output, plus periodic inverter, wiring, earthing and mounting checks. The frequency depends on site conditions and manufacturer guidance. Cleaning visits, monitoring and response terms are set out in the selected AMC; they are not automatically included with every installation.

Which solar panel brands do you install?

We work with tier-1 MNRE-approved manufacturers — Waaree, Adani Solar, RenewSys, and Vikram Solar. For inverters, we install Solis, Growatt, and SMA. All products carry manufacturer warranties and are BIS-certified. We recommend the best option for your requirements.
